Haiti Cultural Exchange presents an exchange with Haitian musician, educator and archivist George Vilson. Vilson is the author of "Kandelab 101: Notated Haitian Folk and Vodou Songs," comprised of a four-CD set and a musical notation book, one the world's few notational records of Haitian folk. The discussion will take place at FiveMyles Gallery in Crown Heights.
Admission to this event is donation-based; a $10 donation is suggested. The evening will begin with a networking reception from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a discussion from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Seating will be limited. Guests should RSVP to RSVP@haiticulturalx.org.
