Artist Julianne Swartz takes a cue from Yayoi Kusama, a Japanese artist known for creating interactive environments, and leads a live action event in the Whitney's public space on Friday, July 27.

The immersive project allows visitors to make a collaborative sound collage using digital and wireless technology to record, edit, and compose an audio object.

The event is free with museum admission, which is "pay-what-you-wish" on Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m.
