The Good Fork in Red Hook is celebrating its reopening with a "house party" at its newly-rebuilt space on Van Brunt Street Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, chef and owner Sohui Kim announced. From 2 to 8 p.m., the restaurant, which has received rave reviews from Zagat, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and GQ Magazine, will be serving food and drinks.

The Good Fork, which sustained severe flooding in Hurricane Sandy Oct. 29, 2012, raised more than $50,000 to fund its rebuilding effort.

"Not everything is completely ready, but enough work has been done to show off a little," Kim and her husband and partner, Ben Schneider, wrote on the restaurant's fundraising page on GoFundMe.com. "It's taken exactly two months to put it all back together, and without your generous support, it definitely would not have been possible."

Kim and Schneider said they'll be serving the Good Fork's annual New Year's Eve tasting menu "by hook or by crook." To learn more, visit the restaurant's website or call 718-643-6636.
