Staten Island University Hospital North, Ocean Breeze, will host the 'Go Red' Heart Health event, which will offer free screening, presentations and workshops.

Attendees can receive a free screening to evaluate heart attack and stroke risk, and testing to check for diabetes. The event will also feature guided imagery and an insight into aromatherapy by Diana Coseglia Danna, RN, HNP, on the half-hour between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

There are also three presentations scheduled for the event:  “Heart News You Can Use," at 7 p.m. by Thomas Costantino, MD, director of Cardiology; “Smoking, Stress and Heart Disease” by Kerry Gillespie, MS, director of Complementary Medicine; and “The Heart Healthy Diet," by Pat Ortlieb, RD, CDE, Clinical Nutrition Manager, Food & Nutrition Manager.   

 The event will have raffle baskets, free hearth-healthy refreshments A bounty of raffle baskets, free heart-healthy refreshments, nicotine patches and a Reiki stress reduction demonstration.
