In honor of Rosh Hashanah, which begins on Sept. 16, the Center for Jewish History is hosting Gefilte Talk, a panel discussion about the evolution of Jewish food. Members of the panel will include Elizabeth Alpern, co-owner and founder of Gefilteria in Brooklyn; Zach Kutsher, founder of the modern Jewish American bistro Kutsher's TriBeCa; and Jack Lebewohl, co-owner of the Second Avenue Deli.

The event will conclude with a tasting of traditional gefilte fish and modern adaptations from around the city. Tickets for the event cost $15. Members of the Center for Jewish History can enter for $10. Reservations are required and can be made online or by calling 212-868-4444.
