City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and Council Members James Vacca and Helen Rosenthal are hosting a week-long, non-perishable food drive in memory of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, whose 104th birthday would be Aug. 26. All proceeds will be donated to the West Side Campaign Against Hunger.

Non-perishables may be dropped off Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Council Member Rosenthal's office at 563 Columbus Avenue near West 87th Street.

A partial list of non-perishable food items is available here.

No registration is required.
