The Harlem reading series First Person Plural returns for its third season Sept. 10.

Launched by three Harlem writers — Stacy Parker Le Melle, Wendy S. Walters and Amy Benson — the event will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Shrine World Music Venue.

The event features authors Siddhartha Deb, Danielle Evans, and Elizabeth Kendall and dancer/choreographer Ashley Byler. The writers are invited to read or perform pieces that explore the collective voice and may also read from other recent work.

DJ LadyDM will be spinning from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and again from 8:30 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.

Shrine is located at 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard between 133rd and 134th streets.
