The new Harlem reading series First Person Plural, launched by three Harlem writers— Stacy Parker Le Melle, Wendy S. Walters and Amy Benson — returns on Jan. 28 from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at Shrine World Music Venue.

The event will feature novelists Stacey D’Erasmo and Michael Thomas, poet and artist Monica Ong, and music sets by DJ Lady DM. The authors will read pieces in first person plural, or a collective voice, and may also read from other recent work.

Admission is free.

Shrine is located at 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. between 133rd and 134th streets.
