The new Harlem reading series First Person Plural, launched by three Harlem writers— Stacy Parker Le Melle, Wendy S. Walters and Amy Benson— returns on April 23 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Shrine World Music Venue.

The event features authors Bathsheba Doran, Ed Park and Tiphanie Yanique. The authors will read pieces in first person plural, or a collective voice, and may also read from other recent work.

Admission is free. 

Shrine is located at 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard between 133rd and 134th streets.
