Activist group Big Apple Coffee Party joins with All Souls Peace and Justice Task Force and All Souls Unitarian Church to present a discussion on ethical issues relevant to America's richer foundations. Items to be discussed include decision-making within foundations, the legitimacy of tax exemptions, and the relation between Big Philanthropy and democracy. 

The discussion will feature the following distinguished speakers: Joanne Barkan, "Dissent" writer and editorial board member; Stanley Katz, director of the Center for Arts & Policy Studies at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of International and Public Affairs; Gara LaMarche, president of Democracy Alliance; and Cathy O'Neill, data science expert and author. 

The event will take place at All Souls Unitarian Church at 1157 Lexington Avenue at 80th Street. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the discussion will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free; donations are appreciated.
