Bike New York hosts one in a series of biking skills events for adults and older teens designed to help urban cyclists improve skills, comfort and confidence. Topics to be covered include bike and helmet adjustments, conducting bike safety inspections and bike handling. The event will include an urban group ride (about 5 to 8 miles) that will include biking in traffic.

Certified cycling instructors will lead the program. Students can bring their own bicycle and helmet or borrow both from Bike New York. The event will meet in the basketball courts north of 10th St and FDR Drive in East River Park.

Bike New York recommends that participants attend a Street Skills Class before participating in the Street Skills Ride.

This event is free. Online registration is required.
