More than 80 black-and-white photos taken by poet Allen Ginsberg will be on display at NYU's Grey Art Gallery Jan. 15 through April 6. The collection includes images of New York in the 1950s and shots of writers Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs with detailed handwritten captions by Ginsberg.

The gallery opens Tuesday through Saturday at 11 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 p.m. Wednesday and 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is a suggested donation of $3 per person.
