Derek Arfman is a Territory Account Manager for DNAinfo New York covering Murray Hill and the Garment District. 

Born and raised on Long Island, Derek went to the University of Miami where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in communications and graphic design.

Prior to joining DNAinfo, he was a senior production manager at Guardrail Group, where he worked on feature films, TV shows and commercials.  Additionally, Derek was a Motion Capture Artist at Rockstar Games and worked on "Max Payne 3" and "Grand Theft Auto V."

Derek is excited to put his experience to work for New York City’s neighborhood merchants!

Fun Fact: Derek surfed and conversed with Jimmy Buffet in Montauk for more than 10 years, and did not know who he was.
