Carolina Pichardo is a reporter/producer for DNAinfo New York covering Washington Heights and Inwood.

Carolina has been an editor, writer and producer for publications and websites, including Crains Communications, Parents Magazine and Everyday Health.

In 2012, Carolina received the Manhattan Times’ and Bronx Free Press Woman of Distinction Award for her community work in Washington Heights and Inwood.

She also organized the first-ever, groundbreaking conference for young moms in New York City with featured speakers, such as Gloria Feldt, and local organizations. She got her bachelors degree in Communications from New York University and lives in Inwood.

Fun Fact: Carolina was once almost signed to Epic Records, as part of a Destiny Child-like girl band.
