CHELSEA — Applications are now open through the city’s affordable housing lottery for 15 apartments in a Chelsea high-rise — with rents starting at $621 for a studio.
The 21-story building at 221 W. 29th St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues, is offering the units for applicants who meet the following household size and income requirements:
► Five studios are available for $621 per month to one-person households earning between $23,178 and $26,720 per year.
► Five one-bedroom apartments are available for $715 per month to one-person households earning between $26,469 and $26,720 per year, or two-person households earning between $26,469 and $30,560 per year.
► One studio is available for $2,123 per month to a one-person household earning between $74,675 and $86,840 per year.
► Three one-bedroom apartments are available for $2,432 per month to one-person households earning between $85,338 and $86,840 per year, or two-person households earning between $85,338 and $99,320 per year.
► One two-bedroom apartment is available for $2,743 per month to a two-person household earning between $96,035 and $99,320 per year; a three-person household earning between $96,035 and $111,670 per year; or a four-person household earning between $96,035 and $124,020 per year.
The building, developed by CBSK Ironstate and designed by Goldstein Hill & West, has a 24-hour attended lobby.
For additional fees, residents can use the building’s fitness center, bike-storage area, lounge, roof deck and laundry room.
The monthly rent includes gas for cooking and heating.
Five percent of the units will be set aside for mobility-disabled applicants, 2 percent will be reserved for vision and hearing-disabled applicants, 50 percent will be set aside for residents of Manhattan Community Board 5, and 5 percent will be set aside for municipal employees.

Applicants can apply online or request a mail-in application by sending a self-addressed envelope to Affordable Housing, Dept. 29, 1357 Broadway, Box 309, New York, NY 10018.
Residents will be selected through a lottery and interview process, and the last day to apply is Nov. 15.
