UPPER WEST SIDE — A mugger attacked a Swedish tourist who was walking in Central Park just after midnight Monday, police said.

The 36-year-old victim was walking on West Drive near Heckscher Playground when Isaiah Goodson, 20, came up to him and demanded his wallet around 12:10 a.m., the NYPD said.

Goodson then socked the Swede in the face and ran off with his billfold, according to police.

He fled toward Seventh Avenue, but officers eventually caught up to him and charged him with assault, the NYPD said.

The tourist was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with injuries to his face.

Goodson was awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday afternoon.
