BATTERY PARK CITY — Dozens of officers and family members attended a service Friday at the Police Memorial Wall for 33 fallen members, including Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo, who was fatally shot in The Bronx in 2016

“The reality is that we are adding more names today than we’ve ever in a single year. Thirty-three members of the NYPD. Thirty-three sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, husbands and wives. Each one of them represents a unique life live among family, friends, colleagues," NYPD Commissioner James O'Neill said during the service in Battery Park City.

“They knew this was possible. Every cop knows it. So do their families. They did it anyway.”
