UPPER EAST SIDE — A mentally ill woman was fatally struck by a car while trying to walk along the FDR Drive Wednesday night, police said.
Diana Singh, 69, was in the northbound lane of the FDR at East 92nd Street when she was hit by a 2008 Acura RDX just before 9:30 p.m., the NYPD said.
Singh, of the Upper West Side, was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital with head and body injuries and later died, authorities said.
The Acura driver, a 63-year-old man, stayed at the scene and was not charged, though police said their investigation is ongoing.
