LONGWOOD — A Bronx teen stabbed a fellow student outside their high school Monday afternoon following an argument, according to the NYPD.

The verbal dispute outside of Metropolitan High School turned violent at 2:30 p.m., when 17-year-old Alpha Doumbia used a knife to slash and stab his 15-year-old victim multiple times in the chest, police said.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Doumbia was arrested at the scene and charged with felony assault, police said.

“The NYPD immediately responded to an off-site incident near Metropolitan High School in the Bronx. The safety of students and staff is our top priority, and an individual involved was transported to the hospital and is being treated. We are working with the NYPD to investigate this serious incident,” said Miranda Barbot, New York City Department of Education deputy press secretary, in a statement.
