Upper East Side Councilman Ben Kallos Wins Big in Democratic Primary

UPPER EAST SIDE — Incumbent Councilman Ben Kallos easily won his bid for a second term in the Democratic primary Tuesday.

Kallos claimed 74.94 percent of the vote in the race for the District 5 seat, besting challengers Gwen Goodwin and Patrick Bobilin by a wide margin, with 90 percent of ballot scanners counted as of shortly after midnight Wednesday, according to Board fo Elections records.

Kallos was first elected to the post in 2013.
