Man Found Dead on 7 Train Tracks Was Likely Electrocuted, NYPD Says

CORONA — A man found dead on the tracks near the Mets-Willets Point 7 train station early Sunday was likely electrocuted, police said.

The 49-year-old victim was found on the northbound tracks approximately 500 feet from the station at around 5 a.m. Sunday, the NYPD said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified by police. 

Officials are still investigating how the man ended up on the tracks. An autopsy will to confirm his cause of death.
