MIDTOWN — A person was struck by a C train at the 42nd Street station early Friday evening, causing delays on the A, C and E trains, officials said.
The unidentified victim was struck around 5 p.m. inside the 42nd Street/Port Authority station, near 44th Street, the MTA and FDNY said.
The person was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, officials said.
Northbound C trains were running express from Canal Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle, while northbound E trains were running express from Canal Street to 42nd Street as of 5:36 p.m., according to the MTA's website.
