BROOKLYN — The teen gunman who shot and wounded a 1-year-old boy while targeting another man in Brownsville earlier this month has been identified by police, the NYPD said.

Lyemel Summerville, 19, is suspected of shooting a 20-year-old man following a verbal spat on Junius Street and Sutter Avenue on Aug. 19 around 5:05 p.m., police said.

The bullet traveled through the 20-year-old's thigh before grazing the 1-year-old boy’s knee, the NYPD said.

Both were taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Summerville was described as standing about 5-foot-10 and weighing 165 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
