Score a Studio For $1,488 Per Month in Pyramid-Shaped West Side Building

HELL’S KITCHEN — Applications are now being accepted through the city’s affordable housing lottery for 36 apartments in a pyramidal luxury building on the West Side, with rents starting at $1,448 a month for a studio.

VIA 57 West, the Durst Organization’s building at 625 W. 57th St. between 11th and 12th avenues, is offering the units for applicants who meet the following household size and earning requirements:

► One studio is available for $1,488 per month to a one-person household earning between $51,532 and $60,120 per year.

► One studio is available for $1,615 per month to a one-person household earning between $57,258 and $66,800 per year.

► One studio is available for $1,782 per month to a one-person household earning between $62,983 and $73,480 per year.

► Five studios are available for $1,949 per month to one-person households earning between $68,709 and $80,160 per year.

► Three one-bedroom apartments are available for $1,554 per month to one-person households earning between $55,234 and $60,120 per year, or two-person households earning between $55,234 and $68,760 per year.

► Four one-bedroom apartments are available for $1,733 per month to one-person households earning between $61,372 and $66,800 per year, or two-person households earning between $61,732 and $76,400 per year.

► Four one-bedroom apartments are available for $1,912 per month to one-person households earning between $67,509 and $73,480 per year, or two-person households earning between $67,509 and $84,040 per year.

► Twelve one-bedroom apartments are available for $2,091 per month to one-person households earning between $73,646 and $80,160 per year, or two-person households earning between $73,646 and $91,680 per year.

► One two-bedroom apartment is available for $2,089 per month to a two-person household earning between $73,612 and $76,400 per year, a three-person household earning between $73,612 and $85,900 per year, or a four-person household earning between $73,612 and $95,400 per year.

► One two-bedroom apartment is available for $2,304 per month to a two-person household earning between $80,983 and $84,040 year, a three-person household earning between $80,983 and $94,490 per year, or a four-person household earning between $80,983 and $104,940 per year.

► Two two-bedroom apartments are available for $2,519 per month to two-person households earning between $88,354 and $91,680 per year, three-person households earning between $88,354 and $103,080 per year, or four-person households earning between $88,354 and $114,480 per year.

► One three-bedroom apartment is available for $2,902 per month to a three-person household earning between $102,069 and $103,080 per year, a four-person household earning between $102,069 and $114,480 per year, a five-person household earning between $102,069 and $123,720 per year, or a six-person household earning between $102,069 and $132,840 per year.

The building has a lobby that is attended 24 hours a day, and all of the apartments have in-unit washers and dryers, according to a release from NYC Housing Connect.

For additional fees, residents can use the building’s fitness center, basketball court, golf simulator, screening room, pool and landscaped outdoor space, the release said.

Preference for five percent of the units will be given to mobility-disabled applicants, while preference for two percent of the units will be given to vision or hearing disabled applicants.

The monthly rent prices include gas for cooking.

Applicants can apply online or request a mail-in application by sending a self-addressed envelope to VIA 57 West c/o The Wavecrest Management Team, 87-14 116th Street, Richmond Hill, NY 11418.

Residents will be selected through a lottery and interview process, and the last day to apply is Oct. 11.
