Fire Breaks Out at Grand Central Terminal, FDNY Says

MANHATTAN — A fire broke out on a portion of Park Avenue that wraps around Grand Central Terminal Friday morning, authorities said. 

The flames erupted in a portable compressor on Park Avenue near East 42nd Street about 11:30 a.m., an FDNY spokeswoman said.

There were no reported injuries, she added.

Firefighters brought it under control about 12:13 p.m., officials said.

There were no disruptions to subway service running through the terminal.
