REGO PARK — A man out for a walk was fatally struck by a motorist who then drove away Tuesday morning, sources said.

The unidentified man, who appears to be in his mid-30s, had been walking with a woman when a driver hit him with a car near 63rd Drive and Booth Street when police found him minutes before 2 a.m., sources said.

The woman, whose identity wasn't immediately released, told investigators that she didn't see the man get hit, but did see a white four-door sedan reverse away from the scene, sources said.

"He was in the middle of the street, face down. There was a lot of blood. The blood was coming from his mouth and one ear. He was wearing a green T-shirt. It's very sad," said Carlos Ramirez, 21, who works nearby.

The victim suffered injuries to his head and body and was pronounced dead at Long Island Jewish Medical Center Forest Hills, police said.

Detectives are looking for video of the incident, a source said.

There were no immediate arrests, police said.

The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating, police said.
