QUEENS — The Queens Detention Complex in Kew Gardens has turned into Litchfield Penitentiary again as the popular Netflix series “Orange is The New Black” is back in the neighborhood filming scenes for the show's sixth season.

Crews for the prison-based TV series will be shooting inside the former jail Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 a.m. to midnight, according to production fliers posted in the area.

Several streets in the neighborhood will be closed off to parking during filming, including a portion of 82nd Avenue and Queens Boulevard, near the detention complex.

The show, which has become one of Netflix's most-watched original series, tells a story of Piper Chapman, played by Taylor Schilling, sentenced to 15 months in prison for transporting drug money.

It's not the first time the series is filming in Kew Gardens. The show was also shot in the neighborhood last November.
