LONG ISLAND CITY — A massive two-tower office complex under construction near Queens Plaza will include a food hall, gourmet market, fitness center and a full acre park that sits atop its fifth floor terrace, new renderings show.

Tishman Speyer is building The JACX at 28-01 Jackson Ave., which will consist of two, 26-story towers connected by a shared base with a landscaped fifth floor terrace "quad" and more than 50,000 square feet of retail space, according to the developers.

Other amenities include a restaurant, a 550-space parking garage and 175 spots for bike parking with showers.

"The JACX reflects the changing nature of how we work today," a description of the project reads on its website. "Setting the new standard for creative office development, the JACX will be home to thousands of innovators, creators, leaders, and entrepreneurs."

The development is expected to open in 2019, but more than 70 percent of its offices are pre-leased, a spokesman said. Co-working company WeWork signed on last year to occupy 250,000 square feet in the complex

City Realty was the first to reveal the latest renderings.

Tishman Speyer is also constructing three luxury apartment towers on the same block, called Jackson Park. Those buildings are expected to open to tenants by the end of the year, the developer said.
