RIDGEWOOD — A group of three attackers jumped two young men on a street corner, beating and slashing them in their faces, police said.

The 19-year-old and 21-year-old were standing near Wyckoff Avenue and Norman Street on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood on July 15 at 9:37 p.m. when three men wearing white T-shirts came up to them and started arguing with them, police said.

The argument escalated into a brawl, with the men punching and kicking the two victims, though it wasn't clear what the argument was about.

The men slashed both victims with sharp objects all over their faces and heads, and they were rushed to Jamaica Hospital in serious but stable condition, police said.

The attackers then jumped into a dark four-door sedan and fled down Norman Street, police said.

Police are asking for tips about the attack and released a photo of the getaway car and of one man, though they wouldn't say where they had obtained the image.

All three men were last seen wearing white T-shirts, two with dark-colored pants and one wearing red pants, police said.

Anyone with information about this incident can call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
