CHARLESTON — A man was critically injured after he crashed his car into a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the West Shore Expressway early Thursday morning, police said.
The 41-year-old man was driving northbound on the highway when he rear-ended the parked vehicle on the shoulder of the road near Englewood Avenue at about 12:53 a.m., a spokesman for the NYPD said.
The driver was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Police said an investigation is ongoing.
