MIDTOWN — A drunk Upper East Side man's leg was impaled on a 2-inch spike when he tried to scale a fence near the United Nations headquarters Tuesday morning, police said.

The 34-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately released, left a cab at the FDR service road and East 49th Street about 2:50 a.m. and tried to take a shortcut through Peter Detmold Park, an NYPD spokesman said.

However, the man, who lives on the Upper East Side, got his leg pierced by a fence spike, police said.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he's listed in stable condition, police said.

He was not expected to be arrested, police said.
