BROOKLYN — A driver was killed and his passenger wounded when gun-toting cyclists opened fire on them near Prospect Park Friday morning, police said.
Three men, whose names weren't immediately released, were in a Ford Edge near Parkside Avenue and Parade Place about 3:26 a.m. when the suspects biked past and opened fire, police said.
Bullets hit the driver, 42, in his neck, jaw and back, police said. He was pronounced dead at Maimonides hospital, police said.
A 20-year-old passenger was hit in the back and treated at Kings County Hospital, where he's listed as stable, police said.
The third man in the car, 22, wasn't hit, police said.
It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the shooting.
