NEW YORK CITY — Some express and local 7 trains were not running from Queens into Manhattan during the morning commute because of a mechanical issue at Grand Central, the MTA said.

As of about 10 a.m., some local 7 trains were stopping service at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave. station, while others were ending at the 61st Street-Woodside station, the MTA said. Some express 7 trains were not going beyond the Queesnboro Plaza stop.

Service had resumed as of about 10:16 a.m., MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz said.

Straphanger were told take the E, F, M and R trains for service into Manhattan, and shuttle service was being provided in Manhattan between the 42nd Street-Times Square and 34th Street-Hudson Yards stations, the MTA said.
