Man Assaults 84-Year-Old Woman in TriBeCa, Police Say

MANHATTAN — Police are looking for a man they said randomly assaulted an elderly woman in TriBeCa on Sunday.

The 84-year-old woman was walking near White Street and Broadway at about 6 p.m. when the man put his hand on her face and pushed her to the ground, causing her to hit the back of her head on the sidewalk, according to the NYPD.

The man then fled north on Broadway without taking any of the senior’s property.

The victim suffered a laceration to the back of her head and was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a green tank top, black pants and white sneakers.
