90+ Degree Temperatures Continue Amid Season's First Heat Wave

NEW YORK CITY — The city is in the midst of a string of scorching days as temperatures soar past 90 degrees.

Monday's high is expected to reach 92 degrees with plenty of sun, according to the National Weather Service. The low will be 76 degrees.

Tuesday is expected to continue the heat wave with temps hitting 92 degrees each day — 10 degrees above average, according to the NWS. 

City beaches are open, although ocean temperatures will be in the 60s, according to buoy data from the weather service. 

Things return to normal on Wednesday, with cooler temperatures of around 79 degrees.
