CROWN HEIGHTS — A 27-year-old woman was arrested for attacking a man with a meat cleaver as he returned to his Nostrand Avenue apartment last week, police said.
The 37-year-old victim had gone out to walk his dog at about 7:41 p.m. on May 10 near Carroll Street and returned to his apartment.
When he got near his door, Nicoda Linton, 27, and an unidentified man hit him in the head with the meat cleaver, cutting his head and back, police said.
The man was taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and the woman was arrested. She is being charged with felony assault, harassment and menacing, court records show, and is held on $3,500 cash bail. Her legal representative from Legal Aid could not be reached for comment.
Police said the victim and the suspect knew each other, but did not say the nature of their relationship.
The male suspect has not yet been arrested.

► A 53-year-old man was arrested May 11 for forcibly robbing a 60-year-old woman of her shopping cart as she walked along Franklin Avenue. The man grabbed the blue cart from her hands, which caused her to fall to the ground during the robbery at 2:25 p.m. Police caught up with the man nearby when the saw him walking with the cart. He was arrested and is being charged with criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny, court records show.
► A 31-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were arrested inside an Eastern Parkway apartment May 12 when officers executing a search warrant found two guns in the home, a loaded black 9MM Beretta and a loaded and defaced .32 caliber Colt pistol. Tiffany Nedd was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a forged instrument, court records show. McCareay Kinch was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon as well as multiple narcotics charges. Kinch is being held on $5,000 cash bail and Nedd was released from custody. They are due back in court Nov. 24, records show.
► A 23-year-old man was arrested May 13 for injuring a pedestrian while fleeing the scene of a minor crash on the Eastern Parkway service road. Md Ahashan reversed his Toyota Camry into a parked vehicle at approximately 3:25 a.m., then struck a 44-year-old man in the right knee while driving away from the crash. Upon investigation, police found the driver had a suspended license. He was charged with reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, all misdemeanors or infractions, court records show, court records show.
