BROOKLYN — A person was killed after being struck by a train in Crown Heights at Utica Avenue Monday evening, officials said.

The person was hit by a northbound train on the express track at Eastern Parkway and Utica Avenue at about 5:45 p.m., according to the FDNY and MTA. Train service was disrupted while authorities investigated.

There was no 3 train service in both directions between Franklin and New Lots avenues.

Some southbound 3 trains were running on the 1 line from Chambers Street to South Ferry, where they were terminating.

Some southbound 4 and 5 trains were terminating at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall or Bowling Green.

Commuters could expect delays on the 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 lines.
