THE BRONX — Police want to question a teenager in the shooting of a 12-year-old boy at Story Playground Park, officials said.

The boy, whose name wasn't immediately released, was shot in the hip inside the park across from 820 Thieriot Ave. about 5:09 p.m. on April 28, NYPD officials said.

He was treated at Jacobi Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the shooting, and there hadn't been any arrests as of Friday, police said.

Investigators are looking to question Nicholas Joseph, 18, in connection to the shooting, they said.

Joseph, of Soundview, wasn't described as a suspect in the shooting.

Joseph has been arrested before, but an NYPD spokeswoman said those records are sealed.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
