Woman Found Dead With Slashed Face Inside Her Hollis Apartment, Police Say

QUEENS — Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old woman who was found on the floor inside her Hollis apartment early Tuesday morning with a slash wound to her face, officials said.

The victim was discovered by her boyfriend around 12:30 a.m. inside her first floor apartment on 186th Street, between Henderson and 104th avenues, police and sources said.

When officers arrived to the scene, they found the woman unconscious and unresponsive, with a cut to the left side of her face, authorities said.

The victim, whose name has not been released, pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, police said.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
