QUEENS — Interpol will hit the historic Forest Hills Stadium this fall as part of their tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the band's acclaimed debut album "Turn On The Bright Lights,” organizers said Monday.

The New York-based group will take over the stadium on Sept. 23 with two other rock bands — Deerhunter and Battles — which will also join Interpol during their performance at the Los Angeles Historic State Park on Sept. 30. These will be the only North American performances of the Turn On The Bright Lights tour which kicks off on Aug. 9 in Prague, Czech Republic, and will continue throughout the summer and early fall before wrapping up in Mexico City on Oct. 18.

As part of the tour, the band will play the album in its entirety at each concert.

The record, which includes hits like "Untitled," "Obstacle 1," and "NYC," was released in 2002, and has since sold over 1 million copies.

Interpol is currently working on new material for their sixth album due for release in 2018, the organizers said.

This year's concert season at the recently renovated Forest Hills Stadium will also feature back-to-back performances by The xx on May 19 and 20, and Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers on July 26 and 27. Sigur Rós will perform on June 17 and The Chainsmokers on June 9 and 10. Pop supergroups Hall & Oates and Tears For Fears will play the stadium on June 16.

Tickets for the Sept. 23 concert go on sale Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m. and will be available for purchase here. The shows will start at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m.
