FORDHAM — A pair of robbers brutally attacked their victim and stole his gym bag in The Bronx, according to police and a graphic video of the attack.

The robbery took place on April 4 around 12:30 p.m., when the two suspects entered the vestibule of 2396 Morris Ave. and waited for their 51-year-old victim to open the entrance door, police said.

Once he came inside, the suspects followed him into the lobby, threw him to the ground and started punching and kicking him before grabbing his gym bag, which contained his wallet, and running away, according to the NYPD.

Video shows the suspects walking down the sidewalk and into the building before pummeling their victim and running out the door.

The victim suffered injuries to his face and went to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

Officers described one suspect as a roughly 25-year-old man who stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds, has a dark complexion, black hair and a beard and was last seen in a black Mercedes Benz baseball hat, black sweatpants and a black hooded sweatshirt.

They described the second suspect as a man who is also roughly 25 years old and stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has a light complexion and close cut hair. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Officials waited to release information about the robbery until they obtained video of the attack, police said.
