LONG ISLAND CITY — Police are looking for two men who stole more than $5,000 worth of equipment from a van parked on a street in Queens earlier this month.

The thieves took the items — including a gas generator and power tools — from the back of a commercial van near Northern Boulevard and 46th Street just before 2 p.m. on April 5, according to the NYPD.

They loaded the stolen goods into a maroon Nissan, and were seen heading north on 47th Street towards Broadway, police said.

The first suspect was wearing a dark baseball hat, dark hooded jacket and dark pants, police said. The second wore a tan cap, a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
