HELL'S KITCHEN — Forget Seamless

A luxury-high rise on Manhattan’s West Side is offering its residents “five-star” room service that they can order via mobile app from the building's on-site cafe.

Sky, a 71-story building at 605 W. 42nd. St., at the corner of 11th Avenue, is the only residential building in the city that provides the service, developer The Moinian Group said in a release.

“We provide residents with a five-star amenity that other buildings have yet to offer their tenants,” the group's senior vice president, Mitchell Moinian, said in a statement.

“The primary advantage of this service is that it allows tenants the ease, privacy and convenience of ordering within Sky, an advantage they don’t have if they order takeout from a restaurant."

Tenants can request anything from salads, sandwiches and fruit smoothies to wine and beer, the release notes.

The service launched at the beginning of January.

“...[W]ith the mobile app, Sky guarantees delivery from its LifeCafe in about 20 minutes,” the group's senior vice president of residential properties Natasha Vardi said in a statement.

“In New York, such a short delivery time is unheard of.”
