MORRISANIA — A possible gang-related machete attack in the South Bronx left a young man severely injured, police said.

The 22-year-old victim got into an argument with two men who approached him near Wales Avenue and East 152nd Street around 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, according to the NYPD.

One of the men took out a weapon that witnesses described as a machete and sliced the victim's head, back and arm, officials said.

The victim went to Lincoln Hospital but is expected to survive his injuries, according to police.

It wasn't immediately clear what the men argued about.
