QUEENS — A woman died after she was found unconscious in a Queens jail Wednesday morning, NYPD officials said.
The 56-year-old woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, was found unresponsive in Queens Central Booking at 125-1 Queens Boulevard, near 82nd Avenue, minutes after 8 a.m., police said.
She was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital, police said.
The circumstances surrounding her death weren't immediately clear, and NYPD didn't immediately provide further details.
The city's Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, officials said.
