A lineup of more than 230 free public events is coming to Riverside Park along the Hudson River this summer.

The schedule for the annual Summer on the Hudson (SOH) festival, released Thursday, features a mix of exercise, dance, music, film and kids programming kicking off in May.

We're particularly intrigued by the "Dance Safari!" — "a guided walk searching out site-specific dances choreographed for Riverside Park South" — taking place in September.

Also of interest is May's "Sweet Spot Festival," showcasing the "sounds spun by a collection of North America's renowned sound architects," and the "Human Chess" games scheduled for Thursdays in September.

Seating at most events is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis starting one to two hours in advance. Events will be canceled In the event of heavy rain.
