MANHATTAN — A deliveryman was punched in the face and robbed in the stairwell of a Kips Bay apartment building Sunday night, NYPD officials said.

The 41-year-old deliveryman from Sunflower Diner was delivering food to 444 Second Ave., near East 25th Street, about 10:50 p.m. when a man demanded money from him in the 10th-floor stairwell, police said.

The suspect punched the deliveryman in the face before grabbing his cellphone and more than $100 in cash, police said.

The suspect fled, dropping the phone as he ran, police said. He hadn't been arrested as of Monday morning, police said.

The victim suffered a minor injury and didn't need to be treated at a hospital, police said.
