Man Stabbed on 6 Train in The Bronx, Police Say

THE BRONX — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed in the head, neck and abdomen on a southbound 6 train at Pelham Bay Park Station Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The 58-year-old man was stabbed during a dispute that took place about 1:15 p.m. on the train at 3293 Westchester Ave., according to police and the FDNY.

The victim was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he is in stable condition, officials said.

The suspect, described as a man with a slim build in his 20s and 5-foot-10, fled the scene, police said. There were no arrests so far.

Service on the 6 train had resumed with delays by 3:44 p.m., according to a tweet from the MTA.
