QUEENS — An SUV driver whose license had been suspended was arrested after running over a 79-year-old woman Wednesday night in Wavecrest, NYPD officials said.
Nykole Slay, 29, was driving her Chevy Tahoe east on Seagirt Avenue near Beach 25th Street at about 5:50 p.m. when she ran over the woman walking north on Seagirt, police said.
The victim was treated at Jamaica Hospital, where she's listed in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
Slay stayed at the scene and was arrested for driving with a suspended license, police said.
She hadn't been arraigned as of Thursday morning, court records show. It was not immediately clear why or when her license was suspended.
