MANHATTAN — Mayor Bill de Blasio was expected to meet with federal prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney's office Friday morning amid an ongoing probe into his fundraising.

The meeting was to take place at the Midtown offices of de Blasio's lawyer Barry Berke from the firm Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, according to news reports.

The mayor is facing investigations into whether his unsuccessful bid to bring the state Senate under Democratic control in 2014 as well as fundraising efforts for the Campaign for One New York, a nonprofit to advance the mayor's agenda, violated campaign finance and election laws.

Berke is not being paid with taxpayer money, de Blasio has said. Instead, the mayor is creating a legal defense fund to pay for his lawyers.
